# Pricing and limits

Sessions are billed per minute from your credit balance.

## Credits

Sign up for $10 in free credits. Your API key is shown once after signup, no card required. Sessions draw from your credit balance. Check your balance in [Billing](https://api.dotwave.ai/dashboard/billing) and email [info@dotwave.ai](mailto:info@dotwave.ai?subject=.wave%20credit%20top-up) to top up. There are no automatic charges.

Balances update when sessions end. At zero credit, new sessions return `insufficient_credit` until you top up; retrying alone will not resolve it. Sessions already running continue, so their final usage may exceed the remaining credit.

## Session limits

| Nemotron 3.5 ASR Streaming 0.6B | Up to 24 hours | Closes after 30 seconds without audio. Send audio at the speed of speech: up to 640 ms ahead. |

## Project limits

Each project has a limit on concurrent sessions, on how fast new sessions start, and on monthly spend. Read yours with `GET /v1/project`, in `limits.max_concurrent_sessions`, `limits.session_rate_per_s` and `limits.monthly_spend_cap_usd`. Past a limit, new sessions return `429` with `concurrency_limit` or `session_rate_limit`. Write to [info@dotwave.ai](mailto:info@dotwave.ai) to raise them.

## Data handling

Audio and transcripts are not retained.
